Public visitors to our farm are welcome to take photos as amateurs for personal use with camera phones and basic hand-held cameras. Any professional photography which is intended for resale/promotional/advertising/commercial purposes must be booked online in advance and the photography fee paid.

 

Photographers, film-makers and amateurs conducting professional shoots are required to book and pay the fee before commencing a photography session.  

Please note that special occasion photos including engagement and wedding photography, family portraits, landscape or library photography and any other commercial photography as defined by us are deemed to be professional and the booking fee must be paid.

 

We reserve the right to determine if your shoot is commercial in nature and you will be required to pay the photography fee if you haven’t already done so.

Our field is open to the general public every day throughout the season and therefore it is important that the appearance and welfare of the plants are maintained. We kindly ask that care and consideration is taken during your session and that the lavender plants and wild flowers are not picked or stood on during your visit.

 

Drones are strictly prohibited in our field at all times.

How to book.

 

Professional photography sessions must be booked and paid for beforehand. We have an online booking system which will be open from Sunday 26th February 2023. To book your session, please visit our online booking system.

 

Please bring your booking confirmation with you to the lavender shop when you arrive for your session. You will be issued with a photographer’s pass upon your arrival, which you will need to present if asked to do so by a member of staff. 

 

Our fees are:

 

Day Sessions - £100 per photographer per session (2 hours)

*please note that the daytime sessions are during our normal opening times and do not include exclusive use of the field. There will be no more than 2 professional photographers booked during each daytime session.

•  10:00am - 12:00pm

•  12:30pm - 14:30pm

•  15:00pm - 17:00pm

Exclusive Evening Sessions - £250 per photographer per session (3 Hours)

*Exclusive use of the field outside of our normal opening times.

•  17:00pm - 20:00pm

 

*Session cost is for each photographer per booking. If you plan to have more than one photographer included in your booked session, please make sure you book separately for each photographer attending. All other individuals attending the sessions will be required to pay the standard entry fee.

Cancellation Policy

​

We require a minimum of 14 days notice for cancellations. Cancellations within 14 days prior to the booking will not be eligible for a refund. In the event of bad weather, we will always try to rearrange your booking for an alternative day wherever possible - please note that this is very much dependent on availability, and may be on a different day/time to your original booking.

Guidelines for Photographers - Summary

 

We encourage people to photograph our lavender field but we ask you to bear in mind that it is private property. Nobody is permitted to enter the field without prior permission.

 

Our team is constantly at work in the field, mowing between the rows of lavender, hand weeding, bunching and harvesting at the end of the season. While everything is done to assist photographers and film crews, the safety and enjoyment of visitors is the priority during our opening hours. Please be prepared to work around our staff and the public where necessary. Day time photography fees do not include exclusive use of the field.
