Frequently Asked Questions

When is the lavender in bloom?

Blooming usually starts around mid-June for the earlier varieties and runs through to mid-August.

Is the shop only open during the lavender season?

No, the shop is open from February to December.

Do you have a café? 

We have a small coffee shop which serves a selection of teas, coffees, cold drinks and cakes.

How much is entry to the fields?

Adults are - £5.50

Children 2-16 years old - £3 (including a bug hunting kit)  

Under 2’s are free.

Do you provide free/discounted tickets for carers? 

We do not provide free or discounted tickets for carers. Our aim is to keep our prices as low as possible to ensure as many people are able to enjoy visiting the fields.

Is the shop and fields wheelchair friendly?

The gift & coffee shop, along with the patio facing the smaller field are wheelchair accessible. The fields are reasonably level and we do have many visitors in wheelchairs who access the fields with no problems, however please be mindful that it is a field so there can be uneven areas. We also have fully accessible toilets with nappy changing facilities located in the shop. 

Can I buy tickets for the fields in advance?

No, we do not sell tickets in advance - just pop into the shop when you arrive to purchase an entry ticket to the fields.

Is parking free at the Lavender Fields and Shop?

Yes we have lots of free parking on the site, please note the gates to the shop and car park are locked at closing time.

Are dogs allowed to visit the shop and fields? 

Yes, dogs are welcome both in the gift & coffee shop and the fields. All we ask is that dogs are kept on-lead at all times and that any mess is cleared up.

 

Can I bring a picnic to the fields?

Yes we have a dedicated grass area in the main field where you can enjoy a picnic. We do not have picnic benches in the picnic areas so please feel free to bring a blanket/chair with you.

Can I pick the lavender and wild flowers?

No, we do not allow picking.

Can I take pictures in the fields? 

Paying field visitors are welcome to take pictures in the fields for their own personal use. Commercial photography needs to be booked in advance, further details can be found on our photography page.

 

 

Are drones allowed in the fields?

No, unfortunately we do not allow drones in the fields at any time.
